Singularity

Wow! Not as interesting as I thought it would be. From the moment it came on, it’s opening text about machines taking over the world seems overdone. That’s saying something, cause all movie plots are overdone, but somehow that opening text just said to me this was going to be lame.

I was not wrong. I was expecting more of a Sci-fi driven apocalypse story like Terminator or something. Instead what I get was a small cast that did a lot of yapping about how the world use to be.

That would not be so bad if the cast that was doing the yapping was more interesting. Most of the movie follows the adventures of Veronica as she travels to some Utopia that suppose to have the last humans on Earth and she meets an unusually boy name Andrew whose actually a spy for the evil business man who caused the Machine Apocalypse (Played by the very dis-interesting Jon Cussack).

It would be cool if it was a Zombie movie cause the nature of Zombie movies would allow for two uninteresting people to interact for two hours cause most likely we get some excitement for interaction from zombies once in a while, but a sci-fi budget does not allow for the hunter-killer like machines that are coming after this cute but boring couple to appear often.

Overall, the film kinda reminds me of Logan’s Run (The book not the movie have a similar synopsis), but this sci-fi is not as interesting. Way better movies out there about machines taking over.
