Hugo

For me Hugo is that film that proves to me what a brilliant filmmaker Martian Scorsese is. It seems so out of his element yet it sparks that same emotion. Marty is a fantastic storyteller.

And if you get the option to see it in 3D, it’s worth it.
In a time when 3D is the cash cow gimmick, which is why people do it cheap and campy, Marty made it a part of the story telling and it only enhanced it.

Huge fan of Chloë Grace Moretz. Such an amazing talent.

And it may seem odd to watch Borat in a children’s movie but Sacha Baron Cohen was made for this style of comedy.

Plus the movie is a tale about Georges Méliès, a magical filmmaker when film was in its infancy. Doing a story about this innovative filmmaker was just the frosting on the cake.
