The nightmare before Christmas

This is Halloween! this is Halloween!
I have not scene the Nightmare Before Christmas since I was a kid.
One of the best stop-moton animated movies of all time. I can see why the goth kids like to wear the Ts and carry the bags with old Jack Skeleton on them.
A classic fairy tale like story about the pumpkin king, jack Skelton. Getting tired of the everyday Halloween stuff, one day stumbles upon Christmas and completely warps the Holiday into his own disturbing image.
Dazzling stop-motion animation. Such technical smoothness that has never been done before in stop motion now possibly the norm over at such production houses as Lanka who made Paranorman. Love that first shot when we see Jack come out of the water well.

This is Halloween was the song that was burn in my head since I was little but I forgot about Kidnap the Santa Claus. I loved that song.

And I love Tim Burton’s art style. Creepy and Horrifying while completely appropriate for children.

Even though the merchandise the emo kids wear has kept the movie somewhat relevant, I do feel that it is an underrated marvel of animation.
