Rings.

I enjoined myself.
It’s s horror movie, I’m not sure how frightening it is suppose to be cause it was not. It’s s more like they took the terror that was the Ring and updated to the ghost horror stories that are popular now, but left out the scary.
The dude who plays Lenard on the Big Bang Theory takes the VHS tape and updates it to the days of digital video in his attempts to use it to confirm that humans have souls. He does this by experimenting on college students having them watch the video and past it on before it kills them, spreading it out to see if he can find an answer. He gets close when one girl watches the video and discovers it showed her and extended version that tells you the origin… sort of.

Overall, I like Rings for what it is,  but what it really fails to be is a horror movie. It does not scare me. The chick that comes out of the video was not even scary. I wouldn’t say the magic is lost, but rather when someone came up with the story of telling us what the video was about, they forgot somewhere down the line that they were making a horror flick. It’s more like a mystery flick.

If you like a Mystery crime drama than you’ll like Rings way more than if you like horror movies.
