Brawl in Cellblock 99

Someone loves 1970s in film.

It’s a slow burn with a drawn-out story made to look quiet like they use to do back in the day. But it has its rushes of pure excitement

Vince Vaughan gives a greet performance as a patriot loyal to the flag but just lost his job and is trying to keep his marriage in tack to he gets a job running drugs that leads him in jail.
He’s a clean-cut guy so they take him to minimum security which looked like a country club. The guards are pretty nice the other prisoners are cool
And I know people who would spend over a thousand dollars to stay in the cell this dude had.
But the actions that got him in jail, cost a drug dealer some dough and Vince has to pay him back. So, he forces Vince to mess up a sweet 7 years in the country club to be moved to place, which is a step down from hell. Making matters worse if the cell block is being warden by take no shit Don Johnson.
The fights scenes try to cater more to the reality of fighting and go with the brawl in the title.
Though not as slick as I’m use to Vince being on naturally. His imposing frame actual makes the fights scenes interesting to watch.
