Bones and All

That was not what I expected. Although the trailer was sincere about what this is: Taylor Russell and Timothée Chalamet are in a love story, plain and simple. No matter what genre they would like to wrap this in it falls under young adult romance. Not really my thing.

I did like the filmmaking exercise of it and all. Felt like I was watching some art house/Grind house picture, Bad Lands meets Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Well, Texas Chainsaw is a bit extreme but definitely has the perfect Badlands vibe).

I did not like that the movie had the nerve to be over two hours long. It’s a slow burn and as cute as Taylor Russell is I’m not that much of a fan of Skin and bone Timothée Chalamet to justify a movie that’s literally an hour too long.

If you thought it was going to be more of a horror movie like me than I was say stay away, but if you every wanted to see Timothée Chalamet adapt a young adult novel without being in a young adult movie than I think this is your speed.
