Prelude to a Kiss

It’s a god-awful movie but I did not hate it. it feels like a waste of time but there is a point in the movie that actually was pretty nice.

So, Alec Baldwin and Meg Ryan play two people who fall in love at first sight and the first act of this movie makes it seem that Alec Baldwin’s character is about to spend the rest of his life with a crazy person as he gets to know her and figure out his crazy quirks. Then magic happens and Meg Ryan switch places with a senior citizen, making it seem like Meg Ryan turned crazy the moment he said I do (a horror movie for most men). Alec spends the second act trying to figure out what’s wrong with his new bride and once he does, he spends the third act trying to get her back into her own body. it should be noted that by the time this plot reveal happens the movie turns to shit.

The only part that I found interesting was when Alec Baldwin’s character was expressing his love of Meg Ryan’s character who was stuck in an old man. This was the part of the movie that was met to be romantic, that the two were endlessly in love with each other no matter whose body they were in. it almost worked too, but by this time the film as a whole just made no sense and I’m just at a point where I don’t care.

it really is too bad, cause I see what they are trying to do but it just did not work for me.
