iGilbert

Hard to make out what to make of this, but I liked it. I found the movie to be Bold and Honest with the subject matter of Gilbert, an oh to average story of a boy trapped in a man’s body due to emotional truma (In this case, it was mostly due to his abusive father he never got to settle the score with).

A strange coming of Age story for a man too old to for that story.

It’s a fair overall movie. You would think that the movie is about us showing empathy for the type of man Gilbert is, but for me I honestly, I feel like I’m a better person for seeing an acknowledging how much of Gilbert is in me.

It was a strange movie but perfectly executed.

Hard to watch with 2022 eyes but it’s like a comedian setting up a joke that offends people before they get to the punchline.
