Turning the story of Peter Pan into a southern gothic tale like Beast of a Southern Wild. I wonder if its because I myself am a grown up that I think any version of Pan is more like a horror film than a fantasy adventure, Wendy makes that a lot clearer by telling the grim truth of Neverland, leaving out all the Disney-like aspects of being children forever.
