Monsters: Dark Contentment

Could have sworn I saw this in the movies but when I watched it on DVD nothing recollected
Anyway, every thing that made the original monsters good made dark contentment bad. The concept of soldier fighting a war and by the way monsters roam the earth was just stupid. The troops are not interacting with the monsters made it just another  movie exploiting the troops, and with that said what is the point at all.

I think I realize why I don’t remember seeing it in the movies.
