Bounty Killer

When I put this movie on my Netflix que, it sounded cool. A hot poster with a hot chick, it looked like all I want in an action movie. Then when I got the DVD and started wacthing it, I realized I seen it before. It looks like it’s one of those movies that’s going to be fun to watch but easy to forget. Not nessarrly a bad thing cause techically it made me see it twice.

It’s a post apocalyptic world created by the downfall of government due to corporations gaining more power. In this world bounty hunters are made famous for tracking down white collar criminals who contributed to this downfall. The most famous is Mary Death (chick on the poster), literally the hottest bounty killer out there, whose now hunting an associate of hers wanted by the High council.

It’s like if Mad Max were directed by Robert Rodriguez, or at least it’s trying to be. Not that it’s a bad movie to watch or anything, but it’s that cartoonish style of movie that more pays homage to Mad Max and people like Rodriguez but almost cross the boarder of just being a parody of what it wants to be, and it’s on this broader that a movie like this can get easyly mixed in with everything else that tries the same thing.

Bounty Hunter does make for an intresting role for rapper turned actress Eve who plays the queen of the gypsies. Gary Busy is also in this one being another wella known star whose name can be put on the poster as well as Kristina Loken.

Once again, overall, definitely fun to watch but not so spectacular to make it memorable.
