Wicthcraft 666

The best dam boobies in the whole franchise -Lloyd Kaufman.

Thank you Mr. Kaufman. Not only did your introduction to this DVD assure that I would like this movie for obvious superficial reasons, but you also confirmed my theroy on the franchise. The nudity always gets better.

Continuing my journey to wacth the entire Wicthcraft franchise, I hit a small snag. I was wacthing them on Amazon prime streaming, but when I got up to six it was unavaible. Lucky for me the DVD was available to rent on my Netflix subscription, so I’m still steady in the game.

When I got the DVD, I liked it straight off the bat. The main menu had a nudity selection that acts like a scene selection for nudity and I knew witchcraft 666 was met to out do the franchise when it came to naked breast.

With the exception of the frist whichcraft all the movies made up for their so-so delivery of an ok, but intresting story with some prime nude scenes with each film literally escalating the hot boob action from the last movie. The only thing wicthcraft 2 had to do to out do the original was to have nudity, but number three has some amazing boob shots so number four went all out by getting b-queen Julie Strain to take off her top, then number 5 went all soft-core porn on me in order to stay on top.

Now Lloyd is telling me it was not my imagination that the titties kept getting better and assures me that number 666 is going to be the game topper.

In more ways than one. With Kaufman introducing the movie I already noticed that the film has that Troma feel to it with a little light humour to go along with the horror. Filmed by Julie Davis, an Indi filmmaker who  seems not to be an amenteur, most of the other wicthcraft somewhat needed the nude scenes to make up for skimping on the low quality production that could have made a cool franchise better. I already notice a better quality of production in how the story is coming out and how the characters interact. I was never sure how envolved in this franchise Troma was outside of distribution, but it looks like they got their hands on the chest this time and it shows.

Again, wicthcraft is about the adventures of Will sparrow( this time played by a diffrent guy that the other films). In the frist movie Will was born to two reserected witches to mark their plan to end the world, but as the franchise progress, Will would grow up to denoice the evil plans for his birth and use his status as a Warlock to become a Lawyer that seems naturally drawn to cases with supernatural explanations. His development in the franchise had him accidentally stumble onto these cases until he decides to welcome the lore of them in order to help those who need it. This film however sees him start off turned away again from the game, working as a devorice lawyer until a series of murdered women force the cops on the case to track him down when they notice an occult element to it.

Thats another difference between 666 and the other wicthcraft films, it’s specifically into the occult. The movie franchise starts out as about satanic cults then for a while seem to go into voodoo elements. Now the calling it the occult specially.

Like the last movie, Will the Warlock has to face off against a super-villain type. This time it’s An occult leader who is behind the killing for Satantic rictual purposes, can feel the power of Will and has him seduced in order to control it.  Not as in costume as Spider-Man or Batman, but I do love the contistancy of Will as the spawn of evil who has chosen to reject that evil and use his gifts for good. I would not be surprised if as I get further up in the numbers of the franchise that today’s era of superheroes has effected it( we shall see soon enough).

Although most of Will’s adventures read more like a mystery movie with a supernatural tone, which I like. It takes away from the horror element the first movie seemed to be but I feel the franchise has a good niche

But let me not let the substance increase of the film production and the bigger depth of the story allow me to distract from the real draw…boobs. The DVD needed a nudity selection as it seems a scene does not go by with some nudity being scene. They have plenty of it, and it’s good. The best in the series? Only becames there is more of it.

Overall, Troma’s franchise is definetely going down the right path with 666. I personally thought they dropped the ball woth number five but they redeemed themselves with 666 at least to the point that justfies them making more.
