Daddy’s Home Two

Funny, I don’t remember Daddy’s Home being so good that a sequeal was needed (When is a sequeal ever needed really?), but it’s a good one. Great for a few giggles. I got more out of it then with the sequeal ,a Bad Mom’s Christmas. With the additional talent of John lithcow and Mel Gibson, I got a new layer of funny daddy issues that enhanced the film. In order for Mark Walberg and Will Ferrell to be funnier in this “milking the cow for all it’s worth” sequeal, that met that they had to make Lithcow and Gibson funny enough to play off of, and they did.

They added to the concept of Brad and Dusty needing to be co-dad’s by escalating the issue with the co-granddad thing with Dusty’s dad Kurt and Brad’s dad (Who’s so into the grandpa role he has no frist name, it’s just “pop pop” or Mr. Whitaker) having to also compete on how to handle the problems of the kids, when the grandpas have not even handle the issues they have with their own sons. On top of that , Dusty is in competition as the step dad to Roger’s kid, played by John Cena, who was just a cameo in the first movie and now has a full on part (wish he did more though) and Sara, played by Linda Cardellini is also having a problem rasing her little girl with her daughter so influenced by her new Step-sister whose mother Karen is not doing enough parenting for her.

Its funny, if you saw the trailer and like it you’ll like the movie hands down. The jokes you saw in the trailer where good and they have a few more good ones in the feature.  Definitely great for some giggles.
