Sharknado: The 4th Awakens

Wow! A 4th Sharknado!! The stupidest franchise on the planet is back for a forth helping, and I’m mean stupid in the most awesome way. Shadnado is good cause it knows what it is and does not pretend to be anything else, even as it’s popularity soars. It’s that good corny that makes one laugh all the way through the silliness. I will say that I did not recognize a lot of the people that made cameos in the film , but I guess that’s more my fault. I’m more of the age of guys who recognizes Tommy Davidson from In Living Color and David Faustino of Married.. with Children, which made me smile, and a few others, but I feel like there were a few people who I did not know.

I will also say that the special effects got a little better in this one. I guess that’s where all the money they make is going. It’s still low budget and cheesy, but they had a few  moments when they knew they did a good job  with the CGI so they allowed a scene to run a little longer. One scene in which Fin Sheppard (played by Ian Ziering who still looks young at his old age) and his family are caught in a Sharknado that’s lifting their house off the ground. Just cool scene.

It’s the dumbest thing you’ll ever see, but a worthy hour and 30mins to sit through.
