Boyka: Undisputed

So Undisputed four, huh?

Breaking the cycle of the franchise in which the antagonist of the last film becomes the protagonist in the sequel, Scott Adkins returns as Boyka for a third time and the second time as the protagonist.

This movie starts off right with a fight by Adkins in the ring doing those amazing kicks he does.
Than it keeps it up with a seen of the monster that is the antagonist showing us how ripped and devastating that final battle will be.
Worse part of the movie or the concept of the movie is that Micheal Jai White got screwed out of continuing the franchise, as his character George Chambers (Who was played by Ving Rehmes in the first film when it was about boxing) .  As much as I loved Adkins I would love to see White do… anything.
But this movie acts more like a Spin off to the Undisputed Franchise, with Adkins character doing a second round as the protagonist, this movie also does not take place in a jail cell, but it still contains fighters who belong in jail.

Boyka is a man who spent ten years in prison since last we met him In Undisputed III, going up against monsters, making him and even bigger one, so when he gets out he knows nothing but battling monsters and he wants to use this God given Gift as he likes to put it to make money and give it to good causes,  but his conscious gets in the way when he beats a man to death in the ring, but he wants to do everything in his power to make it right even if it means putting himself at great risk in another ring of monsters.

If you see one movie about fighting you seen them all. Boyka fights for money cause the money will do some good for some people and cure his soul. I seen it before. It reminds me of all the Early Jean Claude Van Damme movies, so it’s not a good movie because of the story, it’s a good movie because of Scott Adkins. We get to see what a great marshal artist Adkins is. Adkins combine with the slick motion of the  camera as it follows him around the ring is what makes this movie very different from Kickboxer and Blood sport, not that they are not really good movies, it’s just that Boyka is good too.
