Cars 3

Not a bad ride.

So after the lackluster sequel that was Cars 2, Cars 3 redeems itself. Coming full circle, the story revolves around Lighting McQueen in a classic story about an old athlete having to compete with new blood and making the decision about weather he’s a seasoned racer or just over the hill.

Helping him make this decision is his new trainer name Cruz Ramirez (cool pun name) a kid trying to get an old car to train like the newer models.

Other new characters include Jackson Storm who is the newer faster model of car that Lighting has to compete with. The movie has a well done message on sportsmanship, which almost got lost on me because from a technology standpoint, the type of car Lighting is can’t  beat the type of car Jackson is.

It’s been a while since I scene the original Cars, can’t remember how much I liked it thought. I do remember hating Cars 2, which made the mistake of counting on Larry the Cable Guy’s star power. Cars 3 is OK, not exactly the awesomeness that I expect from Pixar you know. It just does not have the magic like Toy Story, I don’t know why they keep trying, but they do and it’s OK, not great.

Good to watch if you love cars in general especially
